We regret to announce the passing of Mary Agnes White, age 80, on Monday, August 28, 2017, at the Northside General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Sydney Mines on September 29, 1936, Mary was the daughter of the late Ida Mae Gates, and raised by her mother and grandfather, George Tipping, who was like a father to her. She was a devoted member of the Salvation Army since 1985, and volunteered many hours for them.
Mary was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Mom loved her family and many friends very much.
She leaves behind to mourn, her children, David White (Darlene), Halifax, Carol White, Sydney and Brenda Lee (Gary) Dobbin, Middle Sackville, and her partner, Billy Jerrett. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mary Lee White, Cole White (Kayla), Tristan White and Emily Dobbin; great-grandchildren, Cody Bond, Riley Bond and Jerica White; sister, Georgina Foss, and brother, Harry Gates.
There will be no visitation or funeral service at this time. A celebration of her life will take place at a later date.
