November 18, 1936 - April 13, 2011. On April 13, 2011 we lost the Matriarch of our family. The world is less wealthy with the demise of such a kind and generous person. She lived her life giving to others. Shirley Mary Churchill passed away in the presence of her family. Predeceased by sons Garry & Rodney Churchill, grandson Bradley Ryan, parents Cecilia & Edward Taylor, sisters Ruth Rogers, Bernice Power (Bun), brothers Gordon, Edward, Roy and Max. Left to mourn with a life lesson in strength, determination and courage, husband Frank Churchill; sons: David, Robert, Rickey Churchill; daughters: Donna Parrell (Keith), Bonnie Ryan (Gerard); daughter-in-law Sharon Churchill; Honorary son Danny O’Toole (Janine); grandchildren: Tracey (Joey) and Jason Parrell (Brittany), Candace & Angela Churchill (Terry), Nerissa Churchill (Jeff), Michael Power, Jessie and Taylor Churchill; sister Madeline Butler (Dave); brother Kevin Taylor (Bernice); brother-in-law Cyril Power (Doc); sisters-in-law: Marion Yetman, Lorraine Thomson (Bill), Alice Churchill; brothers-in-law: Robert Churchill (Eleanor), Fred (Diane), Wince (Russie), many nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Friday, April 15th and Saturday, April 16th, from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m Mass of Christian burial on Monday, April 18th at 9:30 a.m. from St. Patrick’s Church. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Janeway Children’s Hospital Foundation, in memory of Bradley Ryan.
