Passed peacefully away at the Interfaith Citizen’s Home, Carbonear on Thursday, April 14, 2011, Hazel E. Milley of Burnt Point, age 93 years. Predeceased by husband: Eli; brothers: Fred, Ken, Harold and Bill; sister: Ida. Leaving to mourn, four daughters: Vivian (John) Slade, Northern Bay, Shirley (Lloyd) Banfield, Bay L’Argent, Christine (Gerry) Budden, Topsail and Lynette (Wade) Oliver, Mt. Forest, ON; two sons: Angus (Carol) Milley, Michigan and Keith (Beverley) Milley, Paradise; eleven grandchildren: Jennifer (Jamie) Becker, Lisa (Glen) Moulton, Sherry (Eugene) Myles, Christopher (Christa) Budden, Connie (Stephen) Duffy, Curt (Lisa) Budden, David (Melissa) Oliver, Jason Oliver, Sheri (Alex) Lara, Tannis Milley and Trevor Milley; thirteen great-grandchildren: Emily, Jacob, Victoria, Noah, Hayley, Grace, Joshua, Claire, Brodie, Braiden, Lauren, Arianna and Leland; three sisters: Sadie Petten, ON, Florence Carnell, Carbonear and Eleanor (Ralph) White, Ochre Pit Cove; sisters-in-law: Florrie Pennell, Mount Pearl, Jessie Tucker, Carbonear, Jane George, Burnt Point and Marion (Sam) Sharpe, ON; brothers-in-law: Tom (Susie) Milley and Mervyn (Margaret) Milley, both of Burnt Point; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay with visitation hours by request of the family, Saturday, April 16 from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Sunday, April 17 from 10:30 a.m. to 12 noon . Funeral service to take place on Sunday, April 17 at 2 p.m. from Memorial United Church, Burnt Point. Interment in the United Cemetery, Burnt Point. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Bible Society.
