The death occurred peacefully at the Prince County Hospital on Sunday, April 17, 2011, of Rowena Catherine (Sherry) Smith, 63, of Central Bedeque.
Beloved wife of Earle Smith and loving mother of Trevor (Bethany), Albany; Sherri (Adam) Blacquiere, Summerside; and Trent of Summerside. Loving grandma of Katie and William Smith and Finley and Cara Blacquiere. Survived by her mother Mae (Cavanaugh) Sherry and the following sisters and brother: Beverly (Parnell) Grant, Charlottetown; Audrey (Rickey) Gallant, West Royalty; Leigh (Marilee), Brantford, Ontario; Gloria (Alan) Paynter, Borden-Carleton; and Paula (Phillip) MacDonald, Bedeque.
Predeceased by her father, Rowan, and brother, Rudy, as well as her father and mother-in-law, Lorne and Mabel Smith.
Resting at the Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora, with visiting hours Monday, April 18, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral to take place at St. Peters Church, Seven Mile Bay, Tuesday, April 19, at 10 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the PCH Pallative Care Unit, the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
Interment will take place later in the parish cemetery.
