Clarence Richard MacSween
It is great sadness that we the family of Richard MacSween, 59, announce his passing at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on September 1, 2017, after a lengthily illness. Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late Clarence and Molena (MacAskill) MacSween. Richard was a roofer and was employed with both Muller’s Contracting and Argus Siding. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Marlene; daughter, Katelyn; Poppy’s girl, Morgan; brother, Bradley; sister, Linda Arsenault as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Richard was predeceased by a son, Tyler and mother-in-law, Emily MacKenzie. A memorial service will take place 11a.m., Monday in the SW Chant & Son Funeral Home; Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating. Interment will be at Hardwood Hill Cemetery. Memorial donation in Richard’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
