Peacefully at Prince County Hospital on September, 5, 2017 with her family at her side, Pearl Grant of Summerside and formerly of St. Patrick’s Road. The daughter of the late Ralph and Sarah (Bambrick) Grant. Wife of Wilfred MacIntyre, Summerside. Mother of Michael McCarthy (Heather), Ottawa; Sean McCarthy, Charlottetown; Kerry McCarthy (Danie), Gananoque, ON; and Patrick McCarthy (Emily), Ottawa. Grandmother to Conor, Rory, Liam and Sean; Kerry; Bri; and Molly. Sister to Ernest (Ginny), Cornwall; Mabel, Lakeside; Thomas (Annette), Halifax; Raymond (Colleen), Montague; and Merlin, Charlottetown. She was predeceased by her sister Patricia, and brothers Basil and Kenneth. Pearl is lovingly remembered by Wilfred’s family; son, Robert and daughter, Monica; and their children and grandchildren; his sisters Eileen, Gail, Barb, and Helen; and brother Edwin (Gloria). Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by all of her many caring and sharing friends. Resting at Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Ave., Stratford for visitation Friday, September 8, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 9, 2017 at St. Cuthbert’s Church, St. Teresa, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Cuthbert’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and as an expression of sympathy, donations to the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
