Passed peacefully away surrounded by his family at St. Clares Mercy Hospital, St. John’s on Tuesday, September 5, 2017, Thomas Hibbs of Milton, aged 79 years. Predeceased by his father John Hibbs; mother Muriel Hibbs Ivany; brothers-in-law Samuel Ivany, Frank Ivany, Willie Ivany and John Keough; step-sisters Eileen Keough (Jack) and Rowena Sinclair (Manuel). Left with fond and loving memories his wife Mabel Hibbs of 57 years; daughter Angela Pond (Craig), Milton; sons Hubert (Jeanette), Milton, Dwight (Cindy), Clarenville and Keith (Debbie), Milton; grandchildren Joey, Amanda, Megan, Britney, Nikita, Nicole, Robert, Sara, Cassidy and Ryan; great grandchildren Tyler, Faith, Zachary, Cody, Jesse, Hayley, Blake, Yvonne, Oceanna, Maverick and Taylor; step-sister Miriam Keough, Plate Cove; sisters-in-law Bernice Ivany, Milton and Beulah Ivany, Clarenville; and a large circle of nieces and nephews, family and friends. Rested at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place at Fewer’s Memorial Chapel, Clarenville on Friday, September 8, 2017 with interment at Milton-George’s Brook Cemetery.
