The death occurred peacefully at the Riverview Manor on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 of Clara May Jordan of Murray Harbour in her 103rd year. Survived by her children Beck Jordan and Zoena (George) Yannakakis. Also survived by her grandchildren Mark (Michele), Chris (Christie), and Vicki Jordan, Yanna (Aiden), Grace (David), and Daphne (Don) Yannakakis. Lovingly remembered by her great grandchildren Leah and Katie Jordan (Montague); Riley, Simon, and Elsie Taweel (Cornwall); Zoena, Olivia, and Delilah Howland (New Jersey); Mariana and Maeve Downey (Georgia); and Sophia and Diego Lareau (Colorado). Survived by sister, Roylene (Roland)Penny and adopted siblings Sheldon and Sterling Hume. Predeceased by her parents Captain Alfred Chapman and Mary McIntosh (Moore); husband Rayford Jordan; siblings Wenham, Stevena, Eldred and Mary Chapman, Phyllis Harris, Corey Hartling and Laura Singleton; daughter-in-law Sandra Jordan and adopted sibling Alden Hume. Clara was predeceased by Will and Lucy Beck, who raised her from the age of 10 years. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the Southern Kings & Queens Funeral, Murray River. Graveside service to be held at the Murray Harbour Cemetery at 1 p.m., on Saturday, September 9th. Friends and family are invited to a “Celebration of Life” for Clara at the Murray Harbour Community Centre at 2 pm (following the committal service).
