Eileen Lillian Boudreau
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Lillian Boudreau, age 70, of River Hebert. Eileen passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre surrounded by her loving family.
Born in River Hebert, she was a daughter of the late Basil and Greta (McLellan) Melanson.
Loving wife of fifty years. Her greatest achievement was her family which she maintained wonderfully through thirteen moves around the world covering a period of more than thirty years as an exceptional and dedicated military spouse. Loving mother and grandmother who cherished all her family, celebrating every achievement particularly those of her grandchildren. She loved to laugh and spend time with family and friends, and was always a strong helping hand for all who needed. One of her passions was quilting and the friends that she made doing so. Every room in her home is a testament to her skill with a needle. She will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
She will be dearly missed by her husband Gary; children Gary (Nancy), Vancouver, BC, Patricia Boudreau, Massena, NY, Joseph (Michael), South Mountain, ON and Karen (Claude) Farley, Ottawa, ON; 4 grandchildren, Marissa, Vancouver, Thomas, Christopher and Samuel, Ottawa, ON; sister Evelyn (Donald) Willis, Vancouver, BC.
She was predeceased by her brother Basil "Sonny" Melanson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or funeral.
