Suddenly at home in Rodney on Saturday, April 16, 2011, Ellen Marie Smith, at age 64.
Ellen was predeceased by husband, Capt. Ron Smith and survived by daughters, Danielle Marie Smith and Stephanie Leigh Parnell (Rob) and by grandchildren, Jacklyn Paige Parnell and Jordan Dwight Anthony Parnell. Ellen will be sadly missed by her brothers and sisters, Kenneth Cartwright, Bridgewater N.S., Wallace Cartwright (Karen), Alder Point, N.S., David Cartwright (Jackie), Georges River, N.S., Rosanne Boyce, Mongolia, Arthur Cartwright (Mary), Georges River, N.S., Deborah Lalonde (Ken), Truro, N.S., Robert Cartwright (Barbara), Sydney Mines, N.S., Dwight Glenn Cartwright (Alain), Rodney, Ont., Paul Cartwright (Wendy), Georges River, N.S., Carl Cartwright (Joanne), Georges River, N.S., and Ruth Lively (Greg), Debert, N.S.
Ellen was predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Mary Cartwright and by infant sisters, Carolyn Ann and Shauna Diana.
Also remembered by many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Rodney Chapel of Denning Funeral Directors (212 Furnival Rd.), Wednesday, April 20, 2011, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., with funeral service in the chapel on Thursday, April 21, 2011, at 11 a.m., Bob Karn officiating. Cremation to follow.
