It is with deep sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Patricia Cadden Cook, 50, of New Waterford, on September 7, 2017.
Born in New Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Violet (Wadden) Cadden.
Patricia was a hair stylist for over 30 years working primarily for Magicuts in Sydney where she finished as location manager. Over the last two years, Patricia worked from home where she was able to provide care for her brother, Charlie. She enjoyed going to paint parties with her friends, camping, fishing, and especially spending time with her grandson, Andrew. She was also a strong supporter of the New Waterford Volunteer Fire Department. Patricia was known for her positive outlook and dry sense of humour which won the affection of her many friends and family. She will be missed by all.
Surviving are her husband, Angus Cook; son, Greg (Brittany) and their son, Andrew; brother, Charlie; many aunts, uncles, cousins and special cousin, Charlene.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Alfred; a sister, Paula, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Visitation will be held Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 380 Smith St., New Waterford.
A funeral mass of celebration will take place Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the Parish Church of St. Leonard, Mount Carmel Avenue, with Father Ray Huntley officiating. Burial will be in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, Sydney, with a luncheon to follow at the New Waterford Volunteer Fire Department.
