It is with broken hearts that we, the family of Alex Edwards, announce his sudden passing at home in Sydney Mines on September 8, 2017. Born on April 30, 1942, he was the son of the late James and Annie-Mae (MacDougall) Edwards.
He was a member of the Catholic Church. Before retirement, he worked as a coal miner for many years. He was caring, friendly and kind. He had a great sense of humor and was always up for a good laugh. Alex loved being outdoors; gardening, fishing, hunting and going for drives with his wife while listening to country music. …Until We Meet Again
Those special memories of you
Will always bring a smile
If only I could have you back
For just a little while
Then we could sit and talk again
Just like we used to do
You always meant so very much
And always will do too
The fact that you’re no longer here
Will always cause me pain
But you’re forever in my heart
Until we meet again
