Margaret Florence MacLean

We regret to announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother, Margaret MacLean, age 91, on Friday, September 8, 2017, at her home in Ingonish.
Mom was born in Meat Cove on December 26, 1925. She was the daughter of the late Archie and Marcella (MacLennan) MacKinnon.
Mom was first and foremost a home maker, caring for her children whom she loved dearly. Margaret was employed for many years as a cook at Glenghorm Resort where she was loved by all and well known for her delicious home cooked meals and her great sense of humor.
Margaret was survived by her sister, Emma MacKrous; her daughters, Helen (Gerald) and Carmen; sons, David (Sandra), George (Leona), William (Debbie) and Eric (Donna Lynn); daughters-in-law, Gail and Lexie, also numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Mom was predeceased by her husband, Kenny; her son, Donald, and four children in infancy, Barbara Jean, Donald Gordon, Janet Lorraine and Janice Annette. She was also predeceased by her sister, Kay Reashore, and brothers, Danny, Alex, George, Paul, William, Johnny and Frank.
We would like to thank everyone who was involved in Mom's care.

Cremation has taken place, under the care and direction of JM Jobes Funeral Home. There will be no visitation. A family graveside service will take place at a later date.
Donations may be made in Mom's memory to a charity of one’s choice.
