Kevin T. ‘Dabber’ Donovan

With heavy hearts, we the family announce the sudden passing of Kevin Thomas ‘Dabber’ Donovan, age 41 years, beloved son, father, brother, uncle and nephew on Thursday, September 7, 2017.
Born in Sydney Mines on January 19, 1976, he was the son of Harold Donovan and the late Lillian (Keigan) Donovan. Kevin enjoyed biking, playing baseball and spending time with his family and friends, but most of all Kevin loved being with his cherished children.
Kevin was a member of the Labourers Union Local 183.
Besides his father, Harold Donovan, he is survived by his three children, Erika, Kevin and Sophie; his partner, Sheila O’Handley; his step-children, Emma and Sirena; his brother, Billy (Amelia); his nephews, Coady, Nicholas, Tristan and Billy, and a large number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kevin was predeceased by his mother, Lillian (Keigan) Donovan; his sister, Susan Roxanne; his maternal grandparents, Ernie and Lillian Keigan, and paternal, grandparents, Margaret and Tim Donovan.
There will be no visitation by request. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Joseph Church, North Sydney with Rev. Patrick O’Neill officiating. Burial will take place in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Sydney.
