Helen Cronin

It is with loving hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Helen Cronin (nee Carroll) of Clattice Harbour, Placentia Bay at the age of 74. Predeceased by her husband Frank; their son Master Corporal Darrell Cronin and Uncle Thomas Carroll. Leaving to mourn her daughter Denise (Paul); sons Keith (Darlene) and Curtis; daughter-in-law Melinda; five grandchildren Chris, Tanisha, Kyle, Coel, and Luke; sister-in-law Christine Cronin; close family members Eunice (Graham) Warford Karry, Travis and Kieran her dear friend Sandra Kell; her aunt Mary Walsh (Ray); close friends Anne Emberley, Chrissy Curtis and Anne Tilley; her caregivers Rosemary, Bernie and Alana plus the staff and residents of Helen's Haven and her faithful companion Rusty. Mom also leaves behind nieces and nephew as well as extended family, friends and colleagues.

Mom had a loving spirit and a compassionate heart. She dedicated her life to loving and caring for others. Her family was her life and she adored her children and her grandchildren. He heart was big and she extended her love and care to the residents of Cronin's Senior Guest Home who also became her family. She was an inspiration both in action and in word and those who had the privilege to meet her left inspired by her ability to see the positive even through adversity. Her faith sustained her, her courage defined her and her family and friends loved her. She was a good and faithful servant.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2017 from 7-9 pm, Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017 at 10 am from St. Edward's Church, Kelligrews. Interment in St. Edward's Cemetery, Kelligrews. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to the Children's Wish Foundation or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
