Jean MacAskill

It is with deep sadness that we, her family, announce the passing of Jean MacAskill on Sunday, September 17, 2017, after a lengthy illness.
Born in Sydney, Jean was the daughter of the late Rita Mugford (Glace Bay).
Jean was unique in many ways and devoted her life to her family.
She will be missed by her husband, Irvin ‘Butch’; sons, David (Ernie), Sydney, Douglas (Sonya), Saint John, NB and Darren (Micheline), Ben Eoin; special nephew, Stephen (Craig), Vancouver, BC; grandchildren, Christopher, Stephen, Colin, Kyle, Alex and Melissa, as well as great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to the staff of the Cape Breton Regional Renal Dialysis Unit.
There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place.
Memorials may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
