It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Euphemia, on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Ingonish on July 13, 1953, Phemia was the daughter of Emma (Donovan) Doyle and the late Francis Doyle.
Phemia worked at the Keltic for many years and will be sadly missed by her laundry co-workers.
Phemia is survived by her mother, Emma; sisters, Agnes, Von, Jean, Cathy (Russell), Gloria (Andy), Delia and Alice, and her brother, Donnie. Also left to mourn are her two special friends, Jackie and Faye, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Truman Hardy MacDougall; father, Francis; brother, Austin; sister, Dolores; brothers-in-law, Koby Hawley, Pierre Blais and Eddie Fraser; nephew, Allan Robinson, and grand-niece, Scarlett (Donovan) Blais.
We would like to thank everyone who was involved in Phemia’s care. A special thank you to Dr. John Ritter, all the doctors at Buchanan Memorial Hospital, Dr. Michel McKeough, Louise McKeough, Wanda Barron, and the Continuing Care Team. Also, a huge thank you to Victoria County Home Support Services.
Cremation has taken place. Prior to the Funeral Mass, visitation will take place 1-2 p.m. The Funeral Mass to celebrate her life will be held Monday, at 2 p.m. in St. Peter’s Church, Ingonish, with Fr. Lazarus Guria officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Phemia’s memory may be made to Palliative Care. Words of comfort may be forwarded to her family at www.jmjobesfuneralhome.com.
