Norma MacKinnon

Norma MacKinnon, age 76, passed away peacefully in the ICU of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, September 20, 2017, with her loving family by her side.
Born in Glace Bay and a lifelong resident of Dominion, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Graham) MacKinnon. Norma was raised by her grandmother Effie, after the early passing of her mother and was a member of Immaculate Conception Parish, Bridgeport.
Over the years she volunteered for numerous charities and had a true love for politics. She had a great and sincere love for her family and was proud of their successes and happiness.
Norma is survived by her only son, Fraser; his wife, Laura, and her twin grandsons, Jackson and Hudson who she truly adored, all of Victoria, BC. She will also be sadly missed by a sister, Joan Muise and her family.
A graveside committal service, officiated by Fr. Danny Boudreau will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, September 23, 2017 in Calvary Cemetery, Bridgeport.
