Ursla Williams

Williams (Coulton) Ursla Christina-66, of Allendale, Shelburne County, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017, with her family by her side, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of Edith (Buchanan) Levy of Lockeport and the late John F. “Jack” Coulton, originally of Marystown, Newfoundland. She was raised in East Green Harbour and East Ragged Island and attended school in West Head, Osborne and Lockeport. She was a resident of Allendale for 45 years. She learned the value of family at a very early age and left her studies prematurely- and without regret- to help out at home. The quintessential middle child, she never stopped playing the role of confidante, peacemaker and fierce protector. Mom weathered many storms throughout her life, all of which contributed to her strength and strength of character. She taught her children to be thankful for life’s small things the importance of hard work and perseverance, and to respect their elders. In addition to her mother, she leaves behind her husband of 44 years, William A. “Bill” Williams; son Borden and daughter-in-law Sharon, Sandy Point; son John, Yellowknife; granddaughter, Burgundee Williams, Louis Head; grandson Kyle Williams and his wife Kayla, East Jordan; siblings, John (Judy) Coulton, Barrington; Priscilla Munroe, East Jordan; Fern Stephens and Kirby Levy, Clyde River; Paul Levy, Bridgewater; brother-in-law Clyde Murphy, Allendale; sister-in-law, June Coulton, Shelburne; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father; first husband, Borden Williams; brother Nathan Coulton; sister Bride Murphy; step-father Benjamin Levy; nephews Philip and David Coulton; niece Amanda Stephens; brother –in-law, Vaughn Munroe, and mother-in-law Marian ( Mrs. Carlos Hupman). Cremation has taken place under the direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes and Crematoium Ltd. A family service will follow at a later date. Special thanks to niece Kristie Lawrence, Dr. Leanne Delong and the medical teams at Roseway, Yarmouth Regional and the Victoria General Hospitals for their ongoing assistance with Mom’s care. Donations in her memory can be made to the Lockeport First Responders, Roseway Hospital or charity of choice.
