Born: Betty Lou Hudspeth in Greybull, Wyoming on Dec. 10, 1937
Passed Away in: Osoyoos, BC on April 18, 2011

On April 18th, 2011, Betty Love was joyously welcomed into the presence of her Lord after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s.

Left with cherished memories, Betty will forever remain in the hearts of her family; Duane, her loving husband of 46 years, her daughters; Kimberly Love, Marcella (Jon) Zurcher, and Vicki (Reg) Dennill, grandchildren; Ashley (Brian) Thomasson, Joshua Ketch, Stefanie, Jonathan and Christopher Zurcher, Aimee (Jared) Pastoor, Courtney, Brooke, and Jennifer Dennill, and great granddaughter, Faith Pastoor. She will also be missed by her brother, Bill Hudspeth and four nieces and nephews.

Upon her passing, Betty was reunited with her son Jerald Duane Love, and her parents, Harold and Elsie Hudspeth.

Born and raised in Greybull, Wyoming, Betty was a mischievous youngster and the apple of her father’s eye. In high school, she gave her life to Christ and remained steadfast in her faith till the end. Following high school, Betty moved to St. Louis, Missouri and became a Registered Medical Technologist.

On August 10, 1964 Betty married the love of her life, Duane, and a few years later they moved first to Prince Albert, SK, and then to Kamloops, BC where they settled and raised their family. Betty was active as a member of the Kamloops Alliance Church and she worked in various medical offices throughout the years. However, her greatest joy was her family, whom she served cheerfully with self-sacrificing love and devotion.

After retiring to Osoyoos, Betty and Duane enjoyed the RV lifestyle spending many winters in Arizona.

A Celebration of Betty’s Life will be held at Kamloops Alliance Church, 233 Fortune Drive, on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
