Unexpectedly on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at the Kings County Memorial Hospital the passing of Helen Madeline Martell occurred, with family by her side. Born in Georgetown, she was the daughter of the late William S. and Catherine M. (Fraser) Martell. Helen will be missed by her sister Verna MacMillan; brothers Leonard Martell, Dennis Martell (Ann); sister-in-law Ruby Martell; brother-in-law Len Mellaney; several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Phyllis Mellaney; brothers Harold, Lawrence, Carl and Calvin; brother-in-law James MacMillan. Helen will be sadly missed by all who came to know and love her. She was a giver and did for others right to the end. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held on Thursday, September 28, at 2 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church, Georgetown. Interment to take place in the Parish Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or St. James Parish Cemetery Fund would be appreciated.
