On September 26, 2017, I lost the love of my life, Hubert Joseph Covin, 68, to cancer. He was the son of the late Ernest and Josephine Covin.

He is also survived by one brother, Leo Covin (Josephine); sisters, Vange Crane (Gully), Charlotte Ley (Allie), Patricia Covin (Billy), Cathy Covin (Brian Mercer); grandchildren, Jennie, Matthew and Bria; brother-in-law, Arthur Penney (Pauline); sisters-in-law, Theresa McCarthy (Richard), Brenda MacDonald (Dan), Dena Penney (Irene), Helen Colborne (Bruce), Kimberley Penney. He will also be missed by a very special person, Katie Cantwell, who he called his granddaughter; special cousins, Tommy Covin and Linda Covin; as well as many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Hubert was predeceased by his first wife, Sandra Covin, and his brothers, Clifford, Roger and Terry Covin.
I want to thank the nurses on 4C, 4B, and Palliative Care who gave Hubert the best care ever. Also thanks to all the doctors who took part in his being cared for, his friends who came to visit and showed love and support as well as those who showed concern on Facebook.
