It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alexander Donald (Sam) White announce his passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Center on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the age of 89 years. He leaves to mourn with fond loving memories his daughters Valda Baker Irishtown, Maisie White, Corner Brook, Inez Hamilton, Hamilton ON, Daisy Murrin (David), Corner Brook, Sandra White, Fort Nelson BC, Regina Parsons (Richard), Meadows, Judy White (BC), sons Eric (Companion Debbie Hannon), Goulds NL, Roland White, Toronto ON, daughter-in-law Gail White and also a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Ellen (nee Byrne), son Kenneth White, sisters Rosie Penney (Earl), Emma, Ethel, brothers Henry, Douglas, Roland and parents Alexander and Mary White. Family and friends may visit Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road between the hours of 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm on Monday, October 2, 2017 and Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from where funeral services will take place on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 2 pm from the Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roberta Woodman officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, flowers are graciously accepted or donations can be made to the St. Paul's Anglican Church, Summerside NL.
