Parker, Florence Marie, 92, Truro, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro. Born in Springhill Junction, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Amelia (McGraw) Dow. Florence was a former member of the United Baptist Church, Great Village, and a member of the Women’s Missionary Society. She was a former resident of Great Village, Beaver Bank and Truro.
She is survived by a daughter Marilyn Gould (Bill) of Valley; son Merle (Chris) of Beaver Bank; grandchildren, Jason (Maureen), James, Johnathan; great-grandchildren, River, Anaya, Matthew, Seth, Ethan; brothers, Walter Dow (Sally) of Williams Lake, BC, Leonard Dow (Bernice) of Toronto, ON.
Besides her parents, Florence was predeceased by her husband Harold Parker; brothers, Charles, Albert; sisters, Rosie, Alice, Rita, Mae, Doris.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro from where visitation will take place on Friday, October 6th from 12:00 pm followed by funeral service at 1:00 pm., with Pastor Sheila Clyke officiating. Burial will follow in Purdy Cemetery, Westchester. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Gideon Bible Society.
