It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we, the family of James Byron Goode, announce his passing on October 1, 2017.
Born in Sydney, June 5, 1964, James was the son of Byron Goode and the late Florence (Mackay) Tingley.
James was a kind hearted, loving man who enjoyed spending his time with his family. His greatest hobbies were hunting and fishing. Some of his happiest moments were spent with his sons and grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart.
James was predeceased by his loving mother and stepfather, Florence and Ernie Tingley; his grandparents, Chester and Ada Goode; his nephew, Matthew Goode and his niece, Natasha Goode.
James is survived by his loving father, Byron (Faye) Goode; his three sons, James Goode, Mark (Amanda) Goode and Joseph Goode (Tara); grandchildren, Arianna and Helena Goode; brothers, Paul (Maureen) Goode, David Goode; sisters, Mary-Ann (Randy) McKee, Debbie (Donald) Leblanc, Paula Godfrey, Tonia Macaulay (Trevor) and Lisa Carter. He is also survived by a countless number of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2017 and a small service will be held in his honor at 2 at S.W. Chants Funeral Home 564 Alexandra St., Sydney with Rev Sheldon Chant officiating.
