POITRAS, Claire (Gibeault) - Passed away at the Woodland Villa on Saturday, September 30, 2017, age 68 years. She leaves her loving and devoted husband of 52 years, Kenneth Poitras. Dear mother of Josie Poitras (Johnny Curotte), Timothy Poitras, Jerry Poitras and Kenneth Jr. Poitras. Sadly missed by six grandchildren, Jody Poitras (Otilia Diaz), Erin Poitras (Jesse Merkley), Lee-Ann Langabeer, Kyle Langabeer (Jessica Owen), Sara Poitras (Josh Thompson) and Aimie Poitras (Bobby Carrier) and five great-grandchildren. Loving sister of Elaine Roderick (late Roy), Linda Gibeault and Kim Gibeault. Claire will also be missed by her brothers-in-law, Dwight Poitras and Wayne Poitras (Bertha) and sisters-in-law, Gail Seguin (Jerry), Judy Poitras and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents, Bernard and Eileen (Massie) Gibeault, one brother, Jerry Gibeault and one sister, Carrol Gibeault. Friends will be received at the M. JOHN SULLIVAN FUNERAL HOME , 341 Pitt Street (across from city hall) Cornwall on Thursday from 2- 4 pm and 7 – 9pm and on Friday from 9:30am – 11am. Interment at Notre Dame Cemetery at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations (by cheque) to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.
