It is with great sadness that the family of the late Eldred Fraser Crant announce his passing at Long Term Care in Corner Brook on Thursday, October 5, 2017 at the age of 94 years. He will be forever missed, loved and remembered by his wife Hazel of 71 years; daughters: Harriet of Corner Brook, Lillian (David) of Halifax; son Russel of Corner Brook; grandchildren: Wade (Joanne), Tonya (Monty, Chad (Tannis); great-grandchildren: Stephen, Jessica, Shaye, Kieran, and two great-great grandchildren all of Calgary and a circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Leaving to mourn her brother-in-law Wilfred Taylor, his special niece and God-daughter Elsie Colbourne. Predeceased by his parents John and Elsie Crant (Janes); sisters: Bessie (John) Park, Lily (Chesley) Rose, and Mary (Robert) Piercey; special sister-in-law Agatha Taylor and many other family members. A special thanks to the staff at Alternatives Level of Care Unit and Long-Term Care and special friends Pat and Eugene Small. Visitation will take place from Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark's Avenue on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm from where Funeral service will take place in the Chapel on Sunday at 2 pm with Rev. Tanya White officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to WMRH Foundation.
