Of Carbonear, who passed away peacefully at the age of 84 with her loving family by her side at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, October 5, 2017. She leaves to mourn her loving family: daughters: Beverly (Shawn) Leybourne, Diane (Kevin) Parsons and Beverley Karagianis, grandchildren: Tyler (Randi) Parsons, Devon Parsons, Brittany Leybourne, Chelsea Leybourne, Andrew (Allie) Karagianis, David Karagianis and Heather Karagianis, great-grandchildren: Hailey Parsons and Jace Parsons, brothers: Nigel (Marguerite) Drover and Lloyd (Phyllis) Drover, sister Jean (Guy) Chislette, special niece Elizabeth Mercer, sisters-in-law: Violet Drover, Evelyn Batten and Margie (Harold) Hancock, brother-in-law Eli Dowden and a circle of family and friends. Predeceased by husband John Maxwell Hiscock, parents: Albert and Mary Drover, brothers: Bill Drover and Llewelyn Drover, sisters-in-law: Ella Hiscock and Wilma Dowden. The funeral service will take place at Bethany United Church, Carbonear with interment to follow at the Interfaith Cemetery, Carbonear, on Monday, October 9, 2017, 2 P.M. The family will be receiving relatives and friends at SLADE'S FUNERAL HOME, POWELL DRIVE, CARBONEAR, between the hours of Saturday: 7-9 P.M., Sunday: 2-5 P.M. and 7-9 P.M. and Monday: 10:30 A.M. - 12 Noon. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her loving memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. Condolences may be written to the family at: sladesfuneralhome.ca.
