John Wilmont (Buddy) Le Blanc

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of John Wilmont (Buddy) Le Blanc on October 6, 2017.
Born in Florence on August 16, 1929 to the late William and Loretta (Jessome) Le Blanc.
Buddy worked many jobs throughout his life, his last job before retirement was at the CN Marine, North Sydney. During World War II, Buddy looked after the Fortress Barracks in little pond and Centerville with his father. He was a lifetime member of the Florence Legion Branch #83, and a member of the Army Navy Airforce.
Buddy is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Carmella (MacDonald) Le Blanc; sons, Billy (Dolena), Big Bras d’Or, Sheldon, ON, Donnie (Wanda), Florence, Gerard, Halifax and Shawn (Karen), Sydney Mines; daughters, Betty Penney (Danny), Florence, Edna (Dan), Florence and Nicole (Allan), Florence; brothers, Percy (Jose`), Montreal and Adrian (Shelly), London; sisters, Frances (Jimmy) Pero, Sydney Mines, June (Joe) Kowalski, Groves Point, Gladys (John) Morris, Salisbury, NB, Rosalie (Wayne) Carey, Millville, Madonna (Denis) MacIntyre, Vernon, BC, Marlene Boudreau, Sydney Mines and Linda (Pat) Marsh, Hammonds Plains, along with 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by, son, Leonard, and daughter, Linda; granddaughter, Patricia Marie Penney; brothers, Gordon (Carmella) and Elmer, and sisters, Theresa (Cecil) Le Blanc and Hilda (Dave) Jabalee.
We the family would like to thank, Dr. Bill MacDonald, Dr. Poulas, Dr. Ritter, V.O.N., Palliative Care, Fr. Peter Mc Leod, along with the staff at JM Jobes Funeral Home for their care and professionalism.
In keeping with Buddy’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bras d’Or, with Fr. Peter Mc Leod officiating.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice/ Palliative Care Society or The St. Joseph Cemetery Fund, Bras d’Or
