Alois George Herman (born August 9, 1937), of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, passed away suddenly at home on October 7, 2017. He is survived by his wife Eileen (Bantle), his daughters Christine (Robin) Slowenko, Janice Herman, grandchildren Anya, Lara and Alexander Slowenko; Janice Bradshaw (Justin Lamontange), Mitchell and Bryce Connolly, and his beloved dog Mac. He is also survived by his sisters Joan Brennand, Frances (George) Sakowich, Patricia (Bob) Peel, and brothers Gerald and Edwin (Linda) Herman; in-laws Carol (Dan) Dyck, James (Elaine) Bantle, and Margaret Bantle; and his numerous nieces and nephews. Alois was born in St. Walburg, Saskatchewan and moved to Prince Albert when he married his wife, Eileen, in 1963. He worked at PA Pulp/Weyerhaeuser until his retirement. His retirement granted him the luxury of spending time with his grandchildren who he adored. His sudden passing will be mourned by all. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church 260 - 25th Street East, Prince Albert, SK with Celebrant Father Tuyen Vu.
