We, the family, regret to announce the passing of our mother Mary (Carmen) Pottle on October 14, 2017 at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney. Born January 30, 1930 in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Hester Buchanan. Carmen was a homemaker with a love for shopping, knitting, cooking large meals for the family and scratch lotteries.
She is survived by her sons, Charles (Heather) of Dartmouth and Bryan (Mona) of Gillis Point; grandchildren, Robert (Selena), David (Megan) and Stephanie, and great granddaughter, Arabella. She is also survived by her siblings, Bucky (Raylene) Buchanan, Norma Hood and Wilma (Wayne) Harper all of Sydney, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 57 years, Donald; her parents, Charles and Hester Buchanan, and her sister, Audrey MacLeod.
Cremation has taken place. At her request there will be no visitation or service.
