She is gone to be with her late husband Henry, daughter Evelyn, and grandson Jeffrey. It is with great sadness and sorrow that the family of Mildred Annie Parsons Payne announce her passing on Sunday, October 15th, 2017 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. She leaves to mourn: her six sons Freeman (Mabel), Matthew (Christine), Scott (Rita), Dale, Milton, Kirby (Nicol), daughter Karen (Victor), 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sisters Daisy Payne (Max), Rowena Bavis, Josie Walters, Edna Wentzell, brothers Rex (Jean), Gerald (Marion), in-laws Mary, Charlotte, Blanche, Delora (Bill), George (Belinda), and Claude Brown. She also leaves her special friend Madeline King, and neighbours Crystal and Robert Smith whom she thought of as a daughter and son, and Glennis Hutchings the mother of Mildred's 3 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Henry, daughter Evelyn, grandson Jeffrey, her parents, Gladys and Eldrick Parsons. Special friends Julie Keough, and Annie Parsons, sisters Lily Kate Payne (Percy), Jessie Brown, Sadie Verge (Tom), Beatrice Goosney (Gilbert), and Joyce, brothers Sandy (Mary Jane), and Stedman, in-laws Eliza Caines (Hebert), Alexander Payne (Alvina), Hannah Brake (Bryant), Kathleen Keough (Clayton), Stanley Payne, Richard Payne, Peter Bavis, Milton Walters, and John Wentzell. Visitation will take place at St. Peter's Anglican Church, in Parsons Pond, NL, on Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 from the hours of 7-9 pm, and continuing on Wednesday, October 18th, 2017, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm where also the funeral will take place on Thursday, October 19th, 2017, at 2:00 pm with Canon Terry Rose officiating.
