Passed peacefully away at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday, October 16, 2017, George Seward of Gooseberry Cove, aged 98 years. Predeceased by his parents Jessie & Obediah Seward; three brothers and three sisters. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Nellie Frances Seward of 74 years; daughters Dorothy (Eric), Shoal Harbour, Alena (Edmund), Burgoyne’s Cove, Rowena (Otto), Fox Cove; sons Austin (Clarabelle), Gooseberry Cove, Alonzo, Gooseberry Cove, Alvin (Valerie), Hodge’s Cove, Hubert (Bernice), Barrie, ON, Merlin (Daniel), Toronto, ON, Terry, Gooseberry Cove, Darrin (Bonnie), Queens Cove and Rod (Nikki), Toronto, ON; several grandchildren; great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Little Hearts Ease. Funeral service took place on Friday, October 20, 2017 at Bethany United Church, Southport with interment at United Cemetery, Little Hearts Ease. In his memory donations may be made to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Southport.
