Passed peacefully away at home in Corner Brook on Tuesday, October 17, 2017, Daphne Lush at the age of 77 years. She was predeceased by her father Isaac Verge. Leaving to mourn, husband Gerald (Gerry), two children: Heidi O'Guntke, Edinburgh, Scotland; and Karl O'Guntke (Angie), Portugal Cove; grandson, Kyle O'Guntke, Portugal Cove; mother: Doris Verge, Corner Brook; brother: Bob Verge (RoxAnne), St John's; step-son: David Lush (Kim) Okotoks, AB; step-grandchildren: Kirstie, Darby and Nicolas Lush; step-son Glenn Lush, Duncan, BC; step-grandchildren Eden, Rhys, Evan and Ryan; step-daughter: Cathy Allen, Duncan, BC; step-grandchildren: Brianne Sachdev (Sanjay), Ashley Allen (James Hardy), and Brayden Allen (Heidi Wainwright); step-great-grandchildren: Kai Sachdev, Rylie Allen, McKayla and Ciara Allen; and a large circle of family, friends and members of the Humber Valley United Church family. The family would like to thank the staff of Caregivers, the Cancer unit nurses at WMRH, Dr. Dunn and Dr. Healey, the community nursing team especially Tammy Benoite, Dr. Young in Pasadena, neighbour Nancy White (Darren), and many supportive friends. Visitation will take place from Humber Valley United Church in Pasadena on Wednesday from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. from where Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 19th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dr. Tony Newell officiating. Interment to follow at Humber Valley United cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Humber Valley United Church.
