Frank Jr. Ruszkowski

Born: March 29th, 1930

Passed on: October 15th, 2017

Frank Jr. Ruszkowski passed away early Sunday morning with his loving family around him. He was the most kind, compassionate, and gentle husband to his wife Beatrice of 60 years. He was an amazing, big-hearted dad to his eight children and their spouses, and a proud, loving grandfather to his 16 grandchildren; he was our rock. He was born March 29th, 1930 into a Polish family in the school district of Fanford. Frank attended school until he was 15 years old and then began working on the family farm. From there he worked with his brother Jack loading and hauling grain and logs and with his brother Clarence clearing and breaking land. This was the beginning of his life long career with forestry and earth moving which continued for the next 50 years. Frank, along with his wife Beatrice, owned and operated Ruszkowski Construction Company doing the site work for many of the commercial buildings in Prince Albert and site grading for hundreds of homes. Eventually, pulling in the reins and proudly watching his sons venture into their own earth moving and forestry businesses. Although his three loving daughters were not directly involved in the business he was so proud of their many accomplishments. Frank was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd & 4th Degree. He also took pride and enjoyment in the generations of families that grew up and created many memories at Adanac Ski Valley, which he owned and operated. Early in 2017 Frank suffered a serious stroke, but with the excellent care of the hospitals, Diamond House Care Home in Warman and Good Sheppard Villa in Prince Albert, he was able to live comfortably and happy with his wife by his side and family always near. He is survived by his loving wife, Beatrice; his children, Richard, Robert (Brenda), Randy (Shannon), Shelley (Steve), Monica (Doug), Tamara (Wilf), Frank III (Kimberly) and Benny (Jackie); his fifteen grandchildren, Clayton (Grace), Adam (Heidi), Scott (Mandi), Otto (Bree), Linea (Dustin), Samantha (Moe), Megan (Ryan), Evan, Luke, Frank IV Lane, Alina, Jenna, Jesse and Emily Bea; his brothers, Teddy and Peter (Stephie); his sisters, Jean and Margaret (Bert); sisters in-law, Carmen, Rita, Kris (Wally), Ann (Ed) and Cherry (Bob); and his brother-in-law, Billy (Pam). He is predeceased by his dear granddaughter, Rebecca; his parents, Frank Sr. and Maria; his brothers and sister, Joe (Mary), Jack (Delphine), Rose (Bob), Eddie (Ann), Clarence and Tom; his brother-in-law, Metro; his sister-in-law, Shirley; his infant siblings, George and Mary; his wife’s parents, Peter and Maude Nikolaisen; and his brothers-in-law, Neil (Pat) and Hans (Paulette). Frank will be remembered for the impact and the lessons that he instilled, which will be held onto and lived by forever. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church. Frank’s funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at St. Mark Roman Catholic Church, Father Jim Kaptein officiating. Interment to follow at Prince Albert Memorial Gardens.
