It is with broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend on October 20, 2017, after a brief illness. Wayne was born May 17, 1941 in Sydney Mines, the son of the late John and Edythe Fraser.

A great sportsman in his day he played hockey, baseball, and softball. He was night manager at the Strand Bowling Alley for 18 years. He was well known by his many bowling friends as a great bowler and admired by all for his patience.
Survived by his loving wife, Rose (née Baker), of 56 years, and five children, Gary (Pauline), Michele (Stefano), Brian (Joyce), Greg (Patricia) and Lee Ann (Stephen); grandchildren, Meghan (Justin), Gary, Liam, Rebecca, Christian, Chelsea and Jonathan; siblings, late John (Marie), late Sherry (late Sonny), Charlene (Ken), Dwight (late Molly), Blair (Ann Marie), Candace (Ozzie), Debbie (Larry), Celeste (Bob), Barry (Helen), Kevin (Odessa) and Paula (late Ian); brothers-in-law, late Jimmy Baker (Kay) and Tommy Baker (Cathy); sisters-in-law, late Joan (late Bob Sproul), Theresa (late Richie Carroll); in-laws, late Stella and Mannie Baker, and several nieces and nephews
We the family would like to thank Dr. A Wawer and staff for the excellent care over the years and to the staff of the 4th-5th floors at the Northside General Hospital. Also, thank you to his special hospital sitter Edie and the VON.
