Passed peacefully away at St. Luke's Nursing Home, surrounded by his loving family, on October 22, 2017, Len Doyle of Avondale, two weeks short of his 92nd birthday. Predeceased by his beloved wife Angela (nee Furey) in 2013, parents: Thomas and Jane Doyle, parents-in-law: Mary Anne and William Furey, brothers: Tom andGus, sisters: Josephine Kennedy, Margaret Hawco, Patricia Curran, Rita Furlong and Pauline Hickey. Leaving to mourn with loving and grateful memories, his children: Kenneth (Cynthia), Joyce (Stephen), Angela (Bernard) and Terrence (Ingrid); grandchildren: Cherri-Lee Hunt (Ryan), Kent, Chantell Brennan (Terry), Jacinta Russell (Chris) and Renée Williams (Chris Lewis), great-grandchildren: Caitlin, Natalie, Anna, Amelia Blake, Brady and Clara, sister-in-law Joan Doyle, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, especially Rose and John Mason, and his camping buddies. Thank you to the doctors and the nursing staff at Fairhaven Unit, St. Luke's, for their excellent care of our dad, especially these last few weeks. We are also grateful to the many other wonderful employees and to the residents of St. Luke's whom dad knew as his friends. Resting at Dunphy's Funeral Home, Holyrood with visitation on Monday, October 23, 2017 and Tuesday, October 24, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:30 am on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at Assumption Church, Avondale. Interment to follow at Avondale Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in his memory can be made to Assumption Parish Memorial Fund, St. Luke's Nursing Home or the Lung Association NL.
