Mary Elaine Carter 1937-2017
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to our dear mother, Mary Elaine Carter (nee Eldridge) on October 22, 2017 at ‘The Meadows Home for Special Care', Yarmouth, NS.
Mary was born on January 29, 1937 in Mahone Bay, NS: daughter of the late Dorothy (Taylor) and Reginald Eldridge.
She is survived by her son - Michael (Lynn) Carter and their children: Devin, Megan, Erin and Nathan; her daughter Lesa (Bill) Cox and their children: Jennifer, Alyson and Kimberly and 6 great grand babies.
She was predeceased by her loving husband William (Bill) Carter, brother Gareth Eldridge, sisters Eleanor Bill and Elsita Judah.
Final arrangements were entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home in Yarmouth. As per Mary’s request there will be no funeral. A private committal will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the 'Yarmouth Food Bank' or ‘The Meadows Home for Special Care’.
Bless all of the staff at 'The Meadows' for all of your love and care given to our mom (Nana/Great Nana). A special thank you to Dr. Julie Chandler.
