It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that the family of the late Darlene Pink announces her passing after a long and courageous battle with cancer on October 24, 2017 at the age of 51 years.
Darlene was predeceased by her father in law Lloyd Pink Sr., her uncles Gordon James, Victor Peters, Lloyd Tucker, Robert James, Tricket (Gerine) James and Ben Thorne, her aunt Hazel (Henry) Skinner and her cousin Gary Skinner.
She leaves behind to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Lloyd Pink of Port aux Basques, her son Matthew Osmond of St. John’s, her parents Ivan and Shirley James of Port aux Basques, her sister Paulette (Wayne) McNeil of Port aux Basques, her two nieces who were like daughters to her Ashley (Timothy) and Candace White and her two great nieces who held a special place in her heart, Emily and Julia Savory all of Port aux Basques, mother in law Mary Pink of Port aux Basques, sister in law Serena (Bruce) Clarke of Lacombe, Alberta, nieces Emily and Jamie Clarke of Lacombe, Alberta, her aunts Debbie Peters and Pearl James both of Port aux Basques, Lena James of Antigonish Nova Scotia, Juanita Thorne of Burgeo and Dinah (Launce) Baggs of Kippens, her uncle Newman (Frances) Durnford of Conception Bay South as well as a large circle of cousins and friends.
As per Darlene’s wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be receiving guests for a celebration of her life at East Haven Funeral Home on October 26th from 2pm to 9pm. A memorial service to commemorate Darlene’s life was held at St. James Anglican Church on October 27th at 2pm, officiated by Reverend Marlene Harvey.
Flowers will be graciously accepted or a donation in Darlene’s memory can be made to the Pallative Care Unit of Dr. Charles L. Legrow Health Center.
