Marion Richards
At South Shore Villa, Crapaud, on Friday, October 27, 2017 of Marion Frances Richards, formerly of Stratford, age 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Richards and loving mother of Peter (Nancy), Pauline (Fraser Gunn) and Philip (Colleen). Marion will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren-Graham, Yanik, Rosie, Danielle, Jodi, Justin, Jesse and Josie, ten great-grandchildren, sister Sheila Mardell (David) and sister-in-law Olive Erridge (Frank). She was predeceased by her parents Edward and Adelaide (Brown) Williams, and sister Iris Dowsett. Marion came to Canada from England in 1954 and worked as an elementary school teacher in St. Catharines, ON. She had a life-long interest in music as a soloist and member of church choirs. Following her move to P.E.I. in 1995, she founded the Oak Tree Singers. She was a member of Trinity United Church in Charlottetown. There will be no visitation. Funeral service will take place at Trinity United Church in Charlottetown on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 2 p.m. We will also remember Ken Richards at this time. Internment of both will follow at Clifton United Church Cemetery in Stratford. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Mission & Service Fund of the United Church or the Trinity United Church Memorial Fund.
