INNIS, Carol Jean (MacNeill) -88, of Murray Road, Pictou County, passed away October 30th , 2017 in Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. She is survived by her sister, Marie (Mrs. Ross Margeson) of New Glasgow; and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Carol was a daughter of the late Lawrence Lee and Jessie Harris (MacDonald) MacNeill. She was predeceased by her husband, Murray Ogilivie Innis; and her siblings, Ruth (in infancy), Dorothy (Mrs. Graham MacDonald), Orvis and Douglas. Carol made generous contributions of her time, energy and passion to her family, friends, community and church. She worked for almost 30 years at Sears in Pictou. She was an avid member of her local rug hooking club. She shared with her husband, Murray, a deep love for all animals, particularly her own well cared for dogs and horses. She is also survived by her dog, Gunther, who has joined the family of Lauranne and Wayne Mason of Charlottetown. Visitation will be held 2-4 PM Wednesday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral mass will take place 11 AM Thursday from Stella Maris Roman Catholic Church, Pictou. Burial will be in Seaview Cemetery, a reception will follow in Stella Maris Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carol may be made to Saint Vincent de Paul Society, the Star of the Sea Society, or a charity of your choice.
