Passed peacefully away, in the loving arms of his youngest daughter, at the Health Science Centre on Monday, November 6, 2017 at the age of 77 years. Predeceased by his parents Ralph and Edith Cranford, his loving wife Rosalind Whiteway, his brother Ernest and close uncle and friend Herbert George. Leaving to mourn his loving children Eric Cranford Jr. (Jane), Diana Cranford, Christine Morgan (Nelson) grandchildren; John Miller, Roger Cranford, Melissa Miller, Caroline Sakuler (Andrew), Ashley Morgan, step-grandchildren; Colin Morgan, Janelle Morgan (Anthony), Ashton Whitt and Victoria Thornley (Andrew). Great-grandchildren Jayda, Sierra, Eric, Madison, Kindsley, Brenden, Anthony and Charlotte. Brother Lew Cranford (Joan), sisters Helen Peckford (Sid), Louise Cranford and Glenna Wright (Don), along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Eric was a devoted employee of the Newfoundland Hotel for over 20 years. The family would like to thank Dr. Yaqoob Qureshi, Dr. James Pormento, Dr. Roger Avery, Dr. Falah Maroun, 5th Floor Neurosurgery Team and the Intensive Care Unit. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road. Visitation will take place on Tuesday from 7 - 9 p.m., and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. 2 - 4 p.m. and 7- 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Carnell Memorial Chapel, on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 2 p.m. with cremation to follow.
