We, the family of Joseph Gerard ‘Joe’ MacPherson, regret to announce his passing on Monday, November 13, 2017, at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney.
Born July 31, 1941, in Sydney, Joe was the son of the late Neil and Jennie (Gillis) McPherson.
He worked as an electrician and was a member of Sacred Heart parish.
Joe is survived by his sister-in-law, Lydia MacPherson, Kingston, Ont.; nephew, Steve and niece, Patricia, both of Toronto, Ont.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Douglas.
There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Thursday, November 16 at 11 a. m., with Rev. Paul Murphy officiating. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Last Post Fund.
