Passed away peacefully at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital after a lengthy and courageous battle with C.O.P.D. George was predeceased by his special friend Ruby Oliver. Leaving to mourn his family in Ontario Aurthur Wesson, Edward Price, Carol Price-Logan, Linda Price-Ladkin, David Price and Bill Price, as well as a large circle of friends including (but not limited to) Shaun "Fixer" Burton (Nicole), Bill "Stick" Macintosh (Mary), Adam "No Nickname" Benson (Natasha), Sarah "Dude" Walsh (Peter), and Mike "Floater" Barrington (Tragically Alone). George was a comedian who travelled all across North America through his career, settling in Newfoundland 15 years ago and is responsible for kick-starting the local Stand-Up Comedy scene. A heartfelt thank you to the staff of St. Clare's 7 West, and the staff at Linda's Personal Care Home for going above and beyond the call of duty for George during his time there. Waking at Barrett's Funeral Home Monday, November 20th from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. In lieu of flowers or donations we would encourage you to share a joke, a story, and a laugh with your loved ones.
