ARENBURG, Pauline. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Pauline (McKay) Arenburg in Lockeport on April 23, 2011 Born in West Green Harbour she was a daughter of the late Edward and Eldora (Hiltz) McKay. She is survived by sons, Wayne (Kathleen) Osborne, Gordon, Welshtown, daughters, Carole, Lockeport, Lorraine (Charles) Swim, Lockeport, Marilyn (Gordon) Taylor, Kentville, Beatti (Kenney) Mahaney, Churchover, step children Glenn, Katherine and Peter Covey. Mom has 20 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren, 1 great grandchild Shayla. Mom was the last member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her daughter Gloria, husband Elmer Williams, 2nd husband Horace Covey. Mom was a wonderful mother and grandmother who worked in her home and brought up a large family. Mom was a member of the Holy Cross Anglican Church, Lockeport, St. Peter’s Anglican Church, West Green Harbour, Christ Church, Shelburne, she was a past member of ACW, Altar Guild & IODE. In her earlier years mom enjoyed gardening and square dancing, oil painting and reading. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 26 at the Holy Cross Anglican Church in Lockeport, with Rev. Norma Mitchell officiating. Interment was in the West Green Harbour Anglican Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Holy Cross Anglican Church or to a charity of choice.
