The death occurred, at his late residence, on Thursday, November 23, 2017, of John Sutherland, of Summerside, aged 81 years. Born in Seaview, he was the son of the late Robert and Cassie (MacLeod) Sutherland. Survived by his wife Sylva (Bishop) Sutherland; sons Steven (Jayne) and Paul (Shawn) Sutherland; grandchildren Sarah Sutherland, Melissa (Chris) Brunner and Carl Matthew (Julia); great-grandson T.J.; his grand-dog Norma; brothers Clair (Maureen), Leigh (Isabel) and Garth (Debra) Sutherland; sisters-in-law Helen (Chuck) Myers and Barbara Sutherland; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother Gordon; brother-in-law Merrill Bishop; and by a nephew Corey Sutherland. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Valley.
