Entered into eternal life at McAuley Convent on Sunday, November 26, 2017, Sister Phyllis Corbett, age 74 years. Predeceased by her parents, Brendan and Bridget (Wall) Corbett, one sister, Ruth Delaney, one brother, Leo (Barbara) and two brothers-in-law, George Whelan and John Delaney. She will be fondly remembered by her Religious Congregation, the Sisters of Mercy, brother, Valentine (Margaret), sister, Geraldine (Bernard) Hawco, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Waking at McAuley Convent, 250 Waterford Bridge Road, St. John's, Monday from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 29 at 9:30 a.m., Corpus Christi Parish Church, Waterford Bridge Road, with interment to follow at the Sisters of Mercy plot in Belvedere Cemetery. May she rest in peace.
