Joseph Smith of Labrador City, NL passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 24, 2011 at the Captain William Jackman Memoriam Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer, at the age of 70 years. He leaves to mourn his partner of 40 years, Marg O'Brien; his family: Linda Barron (Wayne), Wabush, NL; Brenda Coombs (Kevin), Saskatoon, SK; Kim Conway (Paul), Labrador City, NL; Gary O'Brien (Diane), Wabush, NL; and Corey Smith (Pam), Labrador City, NL; his brother Gerald (Barb), Lourdes, NL, and his sisters Mary Ann Skinner, Lourdes, NL and Cecelia White (Roy), Stephenville, NL, and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves to mourn his grandchildren Scott, Beverly Ann, Ashley, Ryan, Kelly, Brittany, Jordan and Jayden. He was a devoted family man and adored his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed and never forgotten by family and friends.
