The death occurred peacefully at Souris Hospital on Monday, November 27, 2017 of Gordon Robertson, aged 92 years. Gordon served with the Merchant Marine Navy as an Able Seaman, Gunner and was one of the last surviving veterans of World War II. He will be missed by his wife, Phyllis of 63 years and his children, Eric (Brenda), Cathy (David), Vaughan (Linda) and Randy (Deann). Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survived by brother, Athol (Gerry) and sister, Lyla (Lloyd). Predeceased by brothers Arnett, Sterling and Alvin. Resting at Dingwell Funeral Home with visiting hours on Thursday, November 30, from 6-9 p.m. The Souris Legion Branch #3 will hold a Service of Remembrance at 5:45 p.m. We are asking all veterans to arrive by 5:30p.m. A funeral service will be held at Kingsboro Baptist Church on Friday, December 1st at 3 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Souris Legion Memorial Fund or Souris Community Hospital.
