E. Dorcas Keller (Keeping) of Merritt Island, Florida passed peacefully away on Monday, November 27 surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by devoted husband of 62 years, Stanley, beloved daughter Faye-Margaret, parents Clarence and Margaret Keeping, sisters Onita Crosbie (Bill), Phoebe Tiller (Norman), brothers Stanley and Clarence, nephew Clarence Keeping and niece Linda Janes (Keeping), great-niece Lauren Mattear, brothers-in-law Wilfred Hamilton, Harry Burgess, Raymond Keller and Richard Heimbach. Leaving to mourn sisters Sadie Hamilton, Clarissa Stevenson (Charles), Shirley Burgess, sisters in-law Sylvia Keeping, Arlene Heimbach and brothers-in-law Earl Keller (Maria), Elwood Keller (Darleneg) and Faye-Margaret's partner, Erich Latchford. Dorcas will be warmly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Heartfelt thanks to cousin Rev. Gordon and Ruby White. The Keeping Family are also grateful for the compassionate care provided by Ms. Belle Bannister, the staff of Tiffany Village (2nd floor) and TLC Home Care. Born on Sagona Island, Fortune Bay, NL, Dorcas graduated high school and moved to Corner Brook to study Business. She then worked with The Federal Service Commission in St. John's where she met Stan who was serving with the American Forces. Following their marriage in 1955, Dorcas and Stan enjoyed many years of travel, including Florida where they resided for over 50 years. An accomplished artist, a long time member of the Central Brevard Art Association (Florida) and a faithful member of the Merritt Island Presbyterian Church, Dorcas was truly dedicated to her life in art, the community and the church. Cremation has taken place and her celebration of life will take place on Monday, December 4th at 2pm at the Anglican Cathedral, Church Hill. Donations in Dorcas's memory may be made to the Dr. H.
